Last year hundreds of thousands of volunteers donated their time to make a difference in the lives of children around the world. They came from schools, churches, civic groups, and corporations-many were individuals who simply felt a strong calling to help in any way they could. Hundreds of others donated money, materials, or life skills expertise (and in many cases, all three!) to help young people realize their potential and secure a better future, for all of us.  Won't you help to make a difference in Orange County, California?

If this is your home, what do you want for the future of your children?  Do you want them to feel the confidence of success?  Do you want them to learn teamwork, gracious professionalism, engineering, mathematics and science?  Or, have you accepted the fact that we are losing jobs to other countries whose students are ready, willing and able to carry the torch?  Will you help us to make that difference?

It is said that for every new innovation, we need 20 hard working people to make it a reality.  What will you contribute to our future?

How can you help?

Volunteer to help an existing team at a nearby school or youth group.  Engineers can lend their expertise.  Artists can teach students how to draw their robot prior to construction.  IT people can teach CAD.  Managers can teach time management.  Cooks can feed hard-working, hungry students.  In other words, there's a job for everyone!

Help out at local competitions.  We always need good people to staff the events.

Financially - If your company has matching funds, donate to a program and request the matching funds.  If not, donate anyway - you'll feel better for it.  If you represent a company, what better way to give back to the community?

Join the Orange County Robotics League.  Help us to make young people more aware of the importance of science, technology, engineering, mathematics and teamwork.  Help us to encourage students to work hard, and discover the many opportunities available to them through the design, construction and development of competition robotics.
